West Yorkshire Observatory
InstantAtlas™ Server v6.6.0
The West Yorkshire Obserbatory is one of several initiatives delivered by the Yorkshire and Humber Data Observatory Programme. The Observatory provides tools and processes to collect, store and analyse data, and the insight gained is used by local government officers, the general public and other stakeholders to improve understanding and decision making either within an authority or across authorities throughout the West Yorkshire sub-region.
Funding to get the project up and running was made available through the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP) and the annual costs are now met by equal contributions from each of the five West Yorkshire districts. A cross-organisational officer working party manages the coordination of updates and development work and shares its expertise and resources to make the delivery of the Observatory as efficient an operation as possible. The West Yorkshire Observatory has been implemented using InstantAtlas Server software developed by GeoWise.
Further details about the project, including testimonies, can be found here.
